Stuck for something to film? Why not try a weekend project between your college projects?
Self Portrait
2009-06-09 Vimeo Weekend Project – Self Portrait – 100% from Adam Dachis on Vimeo.
I’ve never done a weekend project before and I only had a couple of hours today but I wanted to try to make something anyway to get in the habit of doing this. I’d like to start doing these more regularly.
This is a little overly sentimental, oops

A First Memory
Very First Memory from BARKS on Vimeo.
Made for the Vimeo Weekend Project on February 20, 2010.
This is my first memory. The little glasses are the actual pair that I wore at the time of the memory.
People
Lowa East Side People: Canon 5D mark II from Mike Kobal on Vimeo.
Inspired by Vimeo’s Weekend Project: Black Transitions, I always wanted to shoot a video that looks like “breathing” photographs and use transitions that look like closing and opening aperture blades on a large format camera. hope you guys enjoy it:)

Fake Some Slomo
What Remains from Mike Dulay on Vimeo.
Vimeo Weekend Project 2010.01.23-24 – Fake Slomo
48 hours of shooting, editing and effects
“What Remains”
You came home to me in a box
You saved me that day
like you always do
I wish, I could have been there for you
like you were always there for me
Now, there is this empty space where you used to be
Had I been faster
Had I been stronger
So many maybes that will never come true
The truth stands and I must bare with it
It cuts into me but I endure
I look for signs of you in the places where we’ve been
hoping to reopen the memories of happier times
I hope you have gone to a better place
and we who remain will smile again
